Chana Dal Ginger Chutney


This chutney is a good combination of chana dal and ginger. The spicy the better it is. This chutney goes well with Vegetable Idli .

Chana Dal
Coriander Seeds
Ginger
Dry Red Chillies
Desiccated Coconut
Fresh Coconut
Tamarind Pulp
Salt

For Seasoning
Mustard
Dry Red Chilli
Asafetida
Oil

Method
1.          In a pan dry roast channa dal, red chillies, coriander seeds till you get a nice aroma.
2.         Add ginger now and roast for a minute or so.
3.         Let it cool down.
4.         In a blender add all the ingredients and grind to a chutney consistency.
5.         Do the seasoning and pour it over the chutney.
6.         Goes well with Idli or Dosa
