Carrot Paratha


Commonly known Indian Bread is Paratha!!!!! A paratha can be of any stuffing of veggies. Tastes well, soft in texture. Here is a variety of paratha stuffed with carrot and other spices. Paratha’s usually go well with Raita, Pickle or just Plain Curd.

Ingredients For

Grated Carrot
Green Chilli
Grated Ginger
Kasoori Methi Dry Fenugreek leaves
Cumin seeds
Garam Masala
Red Chilli Powder
Salt
Coriander Leaves
Oil

For Dough
Wheat Flour/Chapati Flour
Salt
Water
Oil
2 Cups
A Little
¾ Cup
1 Tsp.
Method
1.        Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and kasuri methi. Cook on medium flame for half a minute.
2.       Add grated carrot and finely chopped green chilli and stir fry till the moisture evaporates.
3.       Add salt, garam masala, chilli powder and mix well.
4.       Cook for a minute or so and mix coriander leaves.
5.       Switch off the stove and let it cool.
6.       To prepare the dough, add the above except the oil.
7.       Add water little by little to make smooth dough.
8.       Apply the oil on the dough and cover it.
9.       Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
10.    Divide the filling portion and the dough portion equally.
11.     Roll the dough to a small Puri size and place the filling ball in between the dough and completely cover it.
 
12.    Now roll the stuffed dough into the desired size. The paratha should not be too thin.
13.    Use some chapatti flour for dusting so that they don’t stick to the platform.
14.    Heat the skillet and place the paratha and cook them on both sides applying oil.
15.    The paratha should be cooked light golden with spots on them.
16.    Serve Carrot Paratha’s with pickle or any raita
