Masala is a Maharashtrian Spice powder that is one of the key ingredients for
many Maharashtrian recipes like Misal, Dals, curries etc. Goda masala is aromatic
black colored powder made from different spices that provides very unique
flavor. This is also called Kala Masala.

Black Cardamom
Dry coconut
Sesame seeds
Red Chilli Powder

Method
1. Heat a pan. Dry
roast coconut to brown color. Dry roast sesame seeds to light brown. Roast
both separately on low to medium flame.
2. In the same pan
heat oil and roast coriander seeds and cumin seeds to brown and transfer to a
bowl.
3. Add cinnamon,
cloves, bay leaf, fennel seeds and black cardamom, Stone flower to the pan
and roast them to brown color.
4. First grind dry
coconut and sesame seeds together. Add the other ingredients (that were roasted)
and grind them together. Now add red chili powder and grind to powder.
5. Goda Masala is
ready to gallop J
