Badam Halwa

My family loves Badam Halwa especially home cooked!! Indulge in this once in a while.. it is worth the effort in stirring the fudge to the halwa J

Serves
3-4 People
Ingredients

Blanched Almond
Sugar
Ghee
Whole Milk
Saffron Strands
1 Cup
¾ Cup
2 Tbsp.
1 Cup
A Pinch

2.  Coarsely grind the almonds with milk (I usually keep adding milk little by little). Soak saffron strands in 1 Tsp. milk.
3.  Heat a non-stick pan with a table spoon of ghee and add the ground almond paste to the pan. Keep stirring on low to medium heat.

4.  After 4-5 minutes, this will start to thicken. Add sugar now which dilutes the halwa again. Add saffron now and keep stirring so that the halwa does not stick to the bottom of the pan.

Note: You can adjust sweet to suit your taste with the sugar portions.
5.  Add the remaining ghee and keep stirring.
 6.  When the mixture comes to a thick consistency, we are done.

7.  Serve Badam Halwa hot with a little ghee on top.
