Cabbage Chutney


One more chutney variety that goes well with Chapati and even rice and ghee – Cabbage Chutney. Try out and enjoy!

Shredded Cabbage
Shredded Fresh Coconut
Green Chillies
Tamarind Paste
Turmeric Powder

A Few
Method
1.  Heat a little oil in a pan. Add shredded cabbage and sliced green chillies.
 
2.  Saute for a minute. Add ¼ cup of water and let the cabbage cook for 4-5 minutes.
3.  Add turmeric powder, tamarind paste and salt. Mix well and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Let it cool.
4.  Meanwhile with very little oil roast urad dal, fenugreek seeds and mustard. Let it cool.
 
5.  Now grind the cabbage with coconut roughly. Add roasted urad dal and grind to a chutney consistency.
 
6.  Season the chutney with the above ingredients
