Dosakai & Peanut Chutney


Dosakai & Peanut Chutney is another Andhra style Chutney that the Chutney lovers can relish. I had already provided a recipe for Dosakai Chutney which more of a crunchy variety. This recipe has Dosakai combined with Peanut to a Chutney consistency.

Dosakai
Salt
Tamarind Paste
Garlic
1 Small
To taste
To taste (1/4 Tsp.)
1 Pod
To Roast & Grind
Chana Dal
Urad Dal
Cumin Seeds
Mustard
Peanut
Dry Red Chillies
1 Tbsp.
½ Tbsp.
1 Tsp.
A pinch
1 Tbsp.

Mustard
Urad Dal
Oil
Red Chillies
½ Tsp.
1 Tsp.
As required.

Method
 
1.  Deseed Dosakai and cut into small pieces.
 
2.  Dry roast the ingredients in “To Roast & Grind” to a nice aroma.

3.  Coarsely powder these in a blender and set aside.
4.  Heat a little oil in a pan and put the Dosakai pieces. Add ¼ Cup of water, tamarind paste and cook on low flame till the Dosakai is soft. Add salt. Let this cool.
5.  Blend the cooked dosakai with the coarse powder to Chutney consistency.
6.  Make the above seasoning and pour over chutney. Serve with Rice and ghee.
