Sarson Ka Saag


The Punjabi dish that you keep hearing in Hindi movies J While Sarson Ka Saag is spoken of in combination with Makke da Roti, it goes well with any Chapati, Roti or phulka.

Mustard Green/ Leaves
Palak/ Spinach
Chopped Onion
Green Chilli
Garlic
Salt
Butter
Milk
Garam Masala
Ginger (Optional)

Method
2.  Grind green chillies, garlic, ginger, spinach and mustard leaves to a smooth paste.
 
3.  Now heat a pan with butter in it and sauté onion till it turns pink in color on low to medium heat.
4.  Add the paste and let it cook for a while (10 minutes). Add milk and sugar now. Cook till moisture is absorbed.
5.  Add salt and Garam Masala and cook for 3-4 minutes till oil separates and switch off.
6.  Squeeze lemon before serving.
