Chana Dal Chutney


Chana Dal Chutney goes well with Idly / Dosa / Kadubu (Dumpling). Tastes well when it is made spicy.

Chana dal
Grated Coconut
Dry red Chillies
Ginger
Tamarind paste
Salt and Jaggery
Oil

Curry Leaves

Asafetida

A Pinch
Method
1.  With a little oil roast chana dal and dry red chillies to golden brown. Let it cool.
 
2.  Grind the roasted dal and red chillies along with coconut, tamarind paste and salt. Grind to chutney consistency.
 
3.  Season with above ingredients and pour over the chutney.
