Spring Onion Paratha


Spring onion paratha is a variation of onion paratha. A crispy and flaky paratha with spring onion and tasty indeed.

Ingredients
 
 
 
Wheat Flour
Chopped Spring Onion
Salt
Red Chilli Powder
Cumin Coriander Powder
Oil
2 Cups
1 Cup
To Taste
1 Tsp.
1 Tsp.

Method
1.  In a mixing bowl add wheat flour, salt, 1 tsp. oil, red chilli powder and cumin coriander    powder. Add water little by little and knead the dough. The dough should be kneaded smooth enough. Cover it with a lid and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
 
 
2.  Now divide the chopped spring onion and the dough to equal portions.
3.   Roll the dough portion gently in to a large circle. (Use dry flour only 2 or 3 times.) Make sure roti will be thin. Then apply ½ tablespoon of ghee on it and sprinkle some flour.
4.  Now sprinkle the chopped spring onion on the roti. Slowly start to roll folding the roti.   After fully done, twist and coil (roll) to make a flat round roll the rolled like a pinwheel.
 




 
5.  Roll carefully, without applying too much pressure to ensure the layers are still there. Heat skillet and drizzle oil and cook in medium flame(with oil drizzled) both sides until golden brown. Use the spatula and gently press while cooking to ensure even cooking
6.  Repeat the same procedure for the rest of the dough and make tha parathas
7.  Serve with any spicy curry or with raita.
