Eggless chocolate Cake

 


I am sure the kids will love this Chocolate cake, it is To-die-for moist cake. A fluffy cake, poked with holes and soaked in a mixture of sweetened condensed milk, and chocolate milk is definitely a must make.



Celebrating my little one’s birthday with this cake!

Ingredients to make the Cake:

o   1.5 Cup All-purpose flour/ maida

o   ½ cup Choco powder

o   ½ Cup Butter

o   ½ Cup Yogurt

o   ¾ Cup Milk

o   A pinch of salt

o   ½ Tsp Vanilla Essence

o   ¾  tsp Baking powder

o   ½ Tsp Baking soda

Ingredients to make the Chocolate Milk:

o   ¾ Cup Hot milk

o   ¾ Cup Condensed milk

o   ¼  Cup heavy cream

o   1.5 Tbsp Chopped chocolate

Ingredients to make the Chocolate Frosting:

o   1 Cup heavy cream

o   5 Tbsp Chopped chocolate

Method:

o   Mix and Sieve All Purpose Flour / Maida, Choco Powder, baking powder, salt and baking Soda and set aside




o   Heat milk and butter in a saucepan until the butter melts.

o   In a mixing bowl, add Yogurt, vanilla essence and sugar. Whisk vigorously for 3-4 minutes. Now add the dry flour ingredients while adding the milk and butter mixture slowly and giving a good mix.





o   Preheat the oven for 5 minutes at 350 F (160 C). Grease the baking pan with a little butter.

o   Pour the batter to baking pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes at around 350 F till the Cake is done. Let it cool completely.



o   To prepare the chocolate milk: Add the chopped chocolate and hot milk to a bowl and mix till the chopped chocolate melts. To this mixture add the condensed milk and heavy cream. Give a good mix, set it aside.




o   Unmold the cake and make some holes on the cake so that when you pour the milk the cake absorbs the milk completely.

o   Pour the chocolate milk completely on to the cake. Refrigerate the cake for some time.




o   To prepare the Chocolate Frosting: Melt a the chopped chocolate with a little whipping cream, mix well and set it aside. Now add the remaining heavy cream to the chocolate mixture and whip until you get soft peak. Your chocolate frosting is ready. 

Note: My kids the chocolate a little chunky, so i haven't melted the chopped chocolate first for frosting.  




o   Top the frosting on to the cake and dust the frosted cake with Choco powder. Refrigerate the cake and serve when you feel like having it.
