Broccoli Stir Fry


A simple stir fry with Broccoli. The Broccoli in general has got lot of health benefits. My kids are a big fan of this veggie J
In addition to this simple dish you can also add sliced garlic while sautéing. For a change instead of green chillies , red chilli powder and coriander powder can be add while preparing this stir fry. But i like is just simple and green. The Broccoli stir fry goes well with Rasam. Give it a try.

Ingredients
 
 
 
Broccoli Florets
Finely Sliced Onion
Finely Sliced Ginger
Slit Green Chillies
Salt
Lemon Juice (optional)
1 Cup
¼ Cup

For Seasoning
Oil
Mustard Seeds
Cumin Seeds
1 ½ Tsp.
½ Tsp.
½ Tsp.
Method



 
1.     Heat oil in the pan. Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds as soon as they start crackling add cumin seeds, your seasoning is ready.
 
2.     To the seasoning add sliced onion, ginger and slit green chillies and sauté for 3-4 minutes n medium heat.
3.     Now add broccoli florets and give a quick mix, cover the pan with a lid and cook for 4-5 minutes.


 
4.     Add salt and mix well again. Cook for 3-4 minutes more and turn off the heat.
 
5.     Squeeze lime / lemon juice and give a quick mix and serve.
